Hello Xena!

Zena is Red Tail Hawk, she is strong & very powerful. Her talons have a grip strength of 200 pounds per square inch, strong enough to crush bones. She is here mending a wing and her tail feathers. Zena will be able to be released very soon!

UPDATE: Xena was successfully released on May 3rd at San Jacinto Wildlife Area. I have been back several times and almost certain I have spotted her hunting and fraternizing with the local photographers. She is a little less threatened by humans than the other Redtail Hawks in the area.
